Hi, We're Anthony and Jennifer!
Welcome to Parents Making Time!Â
Dear Fellow Parent,
We’re so glad you found your way here. This space exists for parents who want to slow down, connect more deeply with their kids, and be intentional about the kind of family life they’re building. Before we go any further, we’d love to tell you a little bit about ourselves.
We met in 1996 during our sophomore year of high school in Dallas, Texas. Jen remembers the moment. Anthony doesn’t. But that’s not because it was some magical first meeting. Quite the opposite.
The next year we both joined the school’s show choir (think Glee, but not as good), and much to Jennifer’s dismay we were assigned as singing partners. After one performance she complained to the director, “If I have to sing one more love song to Anthony Craiker I will die!” (Real words.) So we were reassigned to different partners.
Now it’s a story we laugh about. We married in 2001 and have spent over half our lives together. Our beginning is proof that first impressions aren’t always right.
Early in our marriage life moved quickly. We married just after Anthony returned from living two years in Madrid, Spain. He began his undergraduate degree, and before he finished we had already welcomed our first daughter and a second on the way. Anthony later attended law school at the University of Tulsa. When he graduated, we were expecting our third child, a baby boy who arrived just days before Anthony took the bar exam (and yes, we moved that same week too).
In those early years we were simply learning how to be parents. Jennifer embraced motherhood while caring for our home, learning photography, and even completing a full marathon when our youngest was in pre-K. Years later, once all three kids were in full-day school, she returned to school herself and earned a degree in Business Management in 2021.
Throughout our marriage we have also spent many years serving in our church community. While service has always mattered to us, our family has always been our greatest passion. Like many busy parents, we’ve learned that balancing work, family life, and service requires constant adjustment, intentional living, and good time management.
We became parents when we were just 21 and 22 years old. Over the past two decades we’ve raised three children from diapers and car seats to driver’s licenses, college decisions, and adulthood. Along the way we’ve experienced the same challenges many parents face: mom guilt, dad guilt, parenting anxiety, and seasons that pushed us close to parent burnout.
Those experiences changed the way we think about parenting. Instead of chasing perfection, we began focusing on connection, practicing mindful parenting, and being intentional with the small everyday moments that shape a family’s life.
Through years of mentoring youth and counseling parents, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of families navigating everything from everyday parenting struggles to truly difficult seasons. We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we do have experience, perspective, and a deep love for families.
Today our passion is helping busy parents stop feeling overwhelmed and build stronger relationships with their kids through intentional living and mindful parenting.
Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned after more than twenty years of marriage and parenting, it’s this:
Strong families don’t happen by accident.
They happen on purpose.
We're glad you're a part of our community.Â
